CONSCIOUS REALITY SERIES
Works of this series are about a premonition of an event. There are no actors or characters. The eternal questions of life and death, justice and punishment make the clock stop. The scenery in the paintings is ready for something important to happen within their framework, otherwise-juicy landscapes and rooms filled with symbols will remain deserted forever.
Honoring"
In the artwork we see a little man sitting on a chair all alone. He won the game "Musical Chairs" (as a rule, a child's elimination game, only one winner remains). And, as the winner, he receives fireworks of applause and awards. The atmosphere of celebration and loneliness at the same time.
Oil on canvas, 100*100 cm. The artwork is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts of Tula.

"Ars longa, vita brevis"
The phrase of the great Hippocrates ("Life is short, art is eternal") tells us about the limited time spent by each of us on this earth. An eternal phrase in a dead language...
White slippers as a symbol of the material left over from man on this planet.
Oil on canvas, 90*110 cm.

"Only one exit"
A yellow pointing sign tells us that we have to leave this world. When the clock strikes its own time for everyone... Ants are a symbol of life, the cable car is its transience... and we are carried away somewhere in the distance.
Oil on canvas, 80*100 cm.

"In standby mode"
The work is based on the novel by T. Dreiser "An American Tragedy".
The terrible instrument of retribution before us is empty, frozen in anticipation of the next criminal. Or victims? Do I need it? The eternal question is whether we have the right to take the life of anyone. And it depends on our society whether this chair will remain lonely, or the thirst for justice and punishment will be above all. And the Christian cross-a symbol of mercy and forgiveness-seems so lonely and superfluous against the background of the formidable equipment...

"Uncertain future"
The main work from the series "Conscious reality".
There is a fence in front of us. Barbed wire fence. There is no further passage. A small warning sign indicates that there is a restricted area ahead. And everyone should make a choice for themselves - where to move on.
